Warriors to Face Kings in Game 2 of NBA Playoffs
Warriors Hold Slight Edge as Series Shifts to Sacramento
The defending champion Golden State Warriors will head to Sacramento to face the No. 3 seed Sacramento Kings in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series on Monday night. The Warriors enter the game with a 1-0 lead after securing a 118-93 victory in Game 1.
Warriors Show Dominance in Game 1
The Warriors dominated the Kings in Game 1, shooting 51.7% from the field and holding the Kings to just 38.6% shooting. Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 27 points, while Klay Thompson added 25 points and Andrew Wiggins contributed 17 points.
The Kings, who had earned the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference after a strong regular season, struggled to keep pace with the Warriors' high-powered offense. De'Aaron Fox led the Kings with 21 points, but no other Kings player scored more than 14 points.
Warriors Slight Favorites for Game 2
Despite their impressive performance in Game 1, the Warriors are only slight favorites for Game 2. The Kings have a strong home-court advantage at the Golden 1 Center, where they won 25 games this season.
However, the Warriors have a wealth of playoff experience and have proven themselves to be a tough team to beat in the postseason. They will be looking to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the series before heading back to San Francisco for Game 3.
The Warriors and Kings will tip off Game 2 on Monday night at 7:30 p.m. PT at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. The game will be broadcast on TNT.
